presented April 19, 2013 at Valley Beth Shalom in Encino, CA

Utilizing a combination of heightened physical gesture, Hebrew scholarship, and poetry, the short piece investigates what it is to have freedom without having yet reached salvation. Concerned with the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising of 1943, as well as themes diaspora and the longing for home, vessels is a dynamic and moving performance.

 

This project was a collaboration between theatre dybbuk and Valley Beth Shalom in Encino, California.
